Black History Month Celebration 2025: Feb 9th at the Lions Club (347 Burnham St) in Peterborough. Come for a free Afrocentric meal! Bring a salad or dessert if you wish, but it's not mandatory. 1pm - 3pm. Lunch will be followed by a presentation from Jane Braithwaite then a performance by local musician, Faith Nolan. Stories by and about Africans and the African Diaspora will be shared monthly at 10:30am on a Saturday. The next ones will be on February 22, March 29, April 26 and May 31. As of March 29, each story will be followed by a crafting session. This is geared towards people ages 6 - 10. It is in partnership with the Peterborough Public Library and sponsored by the United Way Peterborough, Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough and Hi Ho Silver. Families Connect!
