Join us for Afrocentric Story Time with Jane Braithwaite at the Peterborough Public Library downstairs in the Story Corner! Stories by and about Africans and the African Diaspora will be shared monthly at 10:30am on a Saturday. The next ones will be on February 22, March 29, April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26 and August 30. As of March 29, each story will be followed by an Afrocentric crafting session. This is geared towards people ages 6 - 10. It is in partnership with the Peterborough Public Library and sponsored by the United Way Peterborough, Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough and Hi Ho Silver. Reggae band, The Human Rights, will be at the Gordon Best Theatre (216 Hunter St. West) on April 4, 9pm. Opening for them will be local band Dub Trinity with Chet Singh! $20 at the door. (This is not an AANP event, but it's supported by AANP) Families Connect: April 27, 12:30 - 2:30.
