Join us for Afrocentric Story Time with Jane Braithwaite at the Peterborough Public Library downstairs in the Story Corner! Stories by and about Africans and the African Diaspora will be shared monthly at 10:30am on the following Saturdays in 2025:
January 18th and February 22nd; TBA. This is geared towards people who are aged 6 and up. It is in partnership with the Peterborough Public Library and sponsored by the United Way Peterborough as well as the Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough. Black History Month Celebration 2025: Feb 9th at the Lions Club (347 Burnham St) in Peterborough. Come for a free Afrocentric meal! Bring a salad or dessert if you wish, but it's not mandatory. 1pm - 3pm. Lunch will be followed by a presentation from Jane Braithwaite then a performance by local musician, Faith Nolan.
